Just as we speak, star cricketer Harbhajan Singh is all set to marry his longtime girlfriend and actress Geeta Basra in an intimate ceremony in outskirts of Jalandhar in Punjab. It is right touted to be the event of the year and is turning out to be every bit of a Big Fat Punjabi Wedding.
As reported earlier by us, couturier Archana Kochhar has designed elaborate, traditional ensembles for both the bride and groom. We have a sneak peek of their looks just for you. Geeta is donning a heavily embroidered red-and-gold combination accessorised by a nath, a matha patti and a tikka with a beautiful head dupatta to complete the ensemble. While Bhajji is keeping it simple in a classic off-white, self-on-self embroidered sherwani with an ornate red sword.
The usually reticent Bhajji is all smiles as he shares this picture on his Facebook account and writes, “”And the day has arrived.. All set” Dressed in this dulha avatar Harbhajan looks adorable. The white coloured sherwani and maroon churidaar, has given him the proper ‘dulha’ look.”
The couple will have a grand reception at Chhatarpur Farms in Delhi at their friend’s house. Who’s who of cricketing community and glam world are set to sttend this function. The reception lehenga will be in electric blue colour with mirror work and sequins. Harbhajan will go for an outfit made up of Ahimsa Silk
