An intelligent boatman

एक बार तीन विद्धान नाव  पर बैठकर नदी पार  कर रहे थे वे आपस में ही एकदूसरे से बातें कर रहे थे तीनो स्वयं को एक दूसरे से श्रेष्ठ प्रतीत करने की कोशिश में लगे हुए थे कोई अपनी श्रेष्ठता की कहानी सुनाता तो कोई अपनी इसी तरह वे अपनी अपनी कहानियों द्वारा एक दूसरे को नीचा दिखाने  का भरपूर प्रयास कर रहे थे लेकिन कोई श्रेष्ठ तो साबित ना हुआ पर वो अपनी अपनी कहानी सुना सुना कर थक चुके थे.

तभी उसमे से एक ने नाविक से पुछा 'हे मैन डू यू नो इंग्लिश'। ... नाविक ने कहा 'का' बाबू जी उसके इतना कहते ही सब ठहाका मारकर हसने लगे उनमे से एक बोला ओह माय गॉड यू डोंट नो इंग्लिश। ........... योर वन थर्ड लाइफ इस वेस्ट। .. तभी दूसरे ने पूछा। ......... 'तुम कितना पढ़े हो ' नाविक बोला मै  कभी स्कूल ही नहीं गया... वे सब फिर  हसे और बोले तब तो तुम्हारी आधी ज़िन्दगी बेकार है। ..........अब  नाव लगभग नदी के बीचो बीच पहुंच चुकी थी तभी नाव हिलने लगी उन तीनों ने नाविक से पूछा ये क्यू हो रहा है नाविक ने कहा इस ओर मौसम ख़राब है इसी वजह से। ......... वे सभी नाविक को चिल्लाने लगे नाविक ने पूरी कोशिश की नाव को सँभालने की लेकिन मौसम बहुत ही ख़राब था अब नाविक को विश्वास हो गया के नाव  डूब जाएगी तो उसने उन विद्वानो से पूछा बाबू जी तैरना आता है उन सभी ने चिल्लाते हुए कहा नहीं तो नाविक ने मुस्कुराते हुए कहा अरे राम तैरना नहीं आता तब तो आप लोगों की पूरी ज़िन्दगी ही बेकार है। ........ 

यह कहकर वो नदी में कूद गया और नाव उन सभी के साथ नदी में समां गई।

A golden Axe

There was a poor woodcutter named keshav. He was very honest . He goes to jungle daily and cutted down the woods and sells its in the market. Market was too far from his village so that he was unable to earn more money with in a day. He was passing his life with very difficulties but he was hard worker he was very happy in his life.He had full faith on God.One day when he was going to jungle he  saw a very big tree and he thought today i will cut it and collect a lots of woods and earn more money. This tree was on the bank of the river and their branches were spread over the river. Keshav climbed up the tree and started to cut the branch of the tree. When he was cutting the branch all of sudden his hand slept and axe fell down into the river.He got down from the tree and started to cry suddenly the goddess of water came from the river and asked him what happen my dear why are you crying he told her all the incident that had happened with him.

After listening him the goddess pour her hand into the water and showed him an golden axe and asked him is this yours he saw the golden axe and and thought my axe was made up of wood and iron and replied no it is not mine. Then the goddess showed him a silver axe and once again he replied no, it is not my too. finally the goddess showed him his real axe which was fell down into the river from his hand. The keshav smiled and said yes yes it is mine. The goddess of water became happy with the poor woodcutter's honesty and said all three axes are yours. This is your reward from me for your honesty. Keshav thanked the Goddess and went back his home...... 

A Greedy Wife

There were two close friends monkey and crocodile.Monkey lived on a jamun's tree on the bank of the river. Crocodile lived in that river. They met each other daily. It was the summer season and there were a lots of big and sweets jamuns on that tree one day the monkey offered jamuns to his friend crocodile. Firstly he denied to eat after insisting his friend he enjoyed the jamuns too much and really he liked it too much. Now he comes enjoy it daily. One day the crocodile asked his friend monkey to give me some more jamuns i will bring it for my wife she will also like it. Monkey answered yes my dear friend please bring it she will definitely like it. Crocodile's wife liked it so much and she asked her husband crocodile, can you please bring it daily for me husband crocodile yes my darling. One day when wife crocodile was enjoying the jamuns a very bad idea came in her bad mind and she asked her husband crocodile i want your friend monkey's heart. Husband crocodile was shocked. and he denied her to do this she answered if you wouldn't do  this i will kill myself then husband crocodile got ready to do this.

He went to his friend monkey and said my wife has called you on dinner. Monkey asked to crocodile how i will come i don't know how to swim. crocodile thought few seconds and said don't worry my dear friend here i m, you just sit my back i will bring you to my home. when they reached middle of the river the crocodile said to the monkey sorry my dear friend actually my wife want to eat your heart. she was saying if jamuns are so sweet than how much your heart will be sweet. the monkey got frightened but without taking a moment he said ohhh my god why you didn't inform me earlier.I have left my heart on the tree so go back i will take my heart. crocodile turned back as they reached on the bank of the river the monkey jumped on the tree and said "how foolish you are my friend." 

A little knowledge is dangerous thing.......

एक गावं में दो भाई रहते थे। बड़ा भाई बहुत ही अमीर था जबकि छोटे भाई के घेर खाने के भी लाले थे किन्तु बड़ा भाई बड़ा ही निर्दयी उसे अपने छोटे भाई एवं उसके परिवार से तनिक भी स्नेह ना था।
एक दिन दिवाली आई सभी के घरों में खूब रौनक थी घी के दिए जल रहे थे तरह तरह के पकवान बन रहे थे किन्तु छोटे भाई के घेर बस उदासी छाई थी कुछ भी खाने को न था उसे अपनी पत्नी और बच्चों की यह हालत देखी ना जा रही थी उसने सोचा क्यों ना बड़े भाई के घेर जाकर कुछ मदद मांगी जाये।
उसने कहा भइया मेरे घर की हालत बहुत ही ख़राब है मेरा परिवार भूखों मर रहा है आप मेरी मदद कीजिये किन्तु बड़ा भाई बहुत ही निर्दयी उसने साफ़ इंकार कर दिया।  छोटा भाई बड़ा ही दुखी होकर घर की ओऱ लौट रहा था तभी रस्ते में उसे एक बुढ़िया मिली उसने पूछा बेटा त्यौहार का समय है सभी जगह खुशहाली है फिर तुम इतने उदास क्यों हो। ........
उसने उस बुढ़िया से कहा मेरा भाई बहुत ही अमीर है और मई बहुत ही गरीब हु मेरे परिवार में खाने के लाले है फिर भी मेरे भाई ने मेरी मदद करने से मन कर दिया।  बुढ़िया ने कहा तुम मेरा यह गट्ठर मेरे घर पंहुचा दो फिर मै तुम्हे जो दूंगी उससे तुम बहुत अमीर हो जाओगे। उसने बुढ़िया की बात मानकर वह गट्ठर लेकर उसके पीछे चल दिया। जब वह उसके घर पहुंचा तो बुढ़िया ने उसे एक मालपुआ दिया और कहा इसे ले जाओ जंगल में तीन बौने रहते है उन्हें ये बहुत पसंद है इसके बदले वो तुम्हे निश्चय ही ऐसा कुछ देंगे जिससे तुम अमीर हो जाओगे।
बौनों ने उस पुए के बदले एक पत्थर की चक्की दी और कहा तुम इससे जो भी मांगोगे मिलेगा इसका इस्तेमाल करने का बाद इसे लाल कपड़े से ढ़क देना यह बंद हो जाएगी चक्की का इस्तमाल करके उसने ढेरों सामान निकला और बेचा अब वह बहुत ही अमीर हो गया उसकी अमीरी से उसका बड़ा भाई जलने लगा उसने सोचा यह रातों रात अमीर कैसा होते जा रहा है इसका पता लगाने के लिया वह चुपचाप उसके घर गया और दिवार के पीछे छुपकर सबकुछ देखने लगा अब उसे पूरी बात समझ आ गयी थी वह अपने घर वापस गया और अपनी पत्नी से बोला आज रात हम यह गावं छोड़ देंगे उसकी पत्नी के कुछ समझ ना आ रहा था रात हुई सब सो गए बड़ा भाई रात को चुपके से छोटे भाई के घर गया और चक्की चुरा लाया।
वह अपनी बीवी और बेटी के साथ उस चक्की को लेकर नांव  पर बैठकर नदी पार करने लगा नाव पर ही उसने उस चक्की से कहा चक्की चक्की नमक निकाल उसे चक्की बंद नई करनी आती थी देखते ही देखते नाव नमक से भर गई और डूब गई। 

A Teaching Story

एक बार माता पार्वती ने भगवन शिव से पुछा, स्वामी मेरे मन में कुछ प्रश्न चल रहा। बिना आपके सहभागिता के इस प्रश्न का निवारण पाना लगभग मेरे लिए असंभव प्रतीत हो रहा है। भगवन शिव ने कहा कहो पार्वती क्या प्रश्न है. ........... 

माता पार्वती ने कहा हे प्रभु ये बतलाइये उसका ही आप क्यूँ अनहित करते है जो पहले से ही कष्ट में होता है अर्थात बिगड़े हुए को ही दुनिया क्यों बिगड़ती है। .... इस प्रश्न ने मेरे मन को अंत्यंत विचलित कर रखा है। 

तब भगवन शिव ने कहा हे देवी इस प्रश्न के निवारण के लिए आपको हमारे साथ पृथ्वी लोक पर चलना पड़ेगा क्या आप तैयार है। ..........?

तब शिव एवं पारवती साधु और साध्वी का भेष धारण कर के धरती पर पहुंचे।  पृथ्वी पर पहुँचते ही भगवन शिव ने माता पारवती से कहा हे देवी आप चूल्हे एवं लकड़ी का इंतजाम कीजिये तब तक हम पास का गांव से भिक्षा मांग कर आते है। ..... पारवती जी बड़ी ही चिंता में पड़ गईं लकड़ी का जुगाड़ तो आसानी से हो जायेगा परन्तु चूल्हे के निर्माण के लिए ईट कहाँ से ले जाये।   जैसे तैसे उन्होंने ईट का प्रबन्द कर के चूल्हे का निर्माण कर डाला.  अब वो भगवान शिव की प्रतीक्षा कर रही थी, शिव के आते ही भोजन पका और माता पार्वती ने दो थाली में भोजन परोसा। .... भोजन ग्रहण करने से पूर्व शिव ने पार्वती से पूछा ये बताइये अपने लकड़ी का इंतजाम कहा से किया तो उन्होंने बड़ी सरलता से जवाब दिया प्रभु यहाँ तो दूर तक जंगल ही जंगल है इसलिए लकड़ियाँ  आसानी से प्राप्त हो गई ,फिर उन्होंने पूछा ईट का प्रबंध कहा से किया तो पार्वती जी ने कहा पास के गावं से शिव जी ने कहा उस गावं में तो सभी घर पक्के और अच्छे बने है फिर , अब पार्वती जी सोच में पद गई। .... उन्होंने बताया गावं के बाहर एक बुढ़िया की झोपड़ी थी जिसकी दिवार टूटी फूटी थी बस उसी से ईंटे निकली थी अब इस से पहले के शिव जी कुछ कहते पार्वती जी को उनके सवाल का जवाब मिल चूका था।
